September 2022 Newsletter

It’s starting to feel like autumn is in the air and high school fall sports are in full swing!  We hope you participated in the Homecoming activities last week and we encourage everyone in the community to support our young athletes and coaches by catching a few games this season.  Find the full athletic schedule of events on the school website: www.broadus.net

Our Chamber board gathered at the Powder River Historical Museum recently for our September service project.  We joined museum board members and other committed volunteers for a gratifying day of cooperative community service.  Thankfully, the weather was beautiful and we were able to get the exterior yard cleaned of weeds as well as prepping some new display areas.  The museum has some exciting new exhibits and a fun Halloween event planned, so be sure to check out their Facebook page @PRHistoricalMusuem.

Just a reminder that at our last business meeting, we enacted some big changes to our membership package by switching to a fiscal year.  Current 2022 membership benefits are extended until June 30, 2023.  If you’re interested in joining the Chamber or if you have questions or feedback on membership benefits and packages, contact us at powderriverchamber@gmail.com or reach out to Membership Committee members, Marni Gaskill and Jessica Malone.

Although it seems almost too early to be thinking about the holidays, we’ve already had a lot of requests for Christmas Stroll details!  We’re excited to announce that the annual Christmas Stroll is scheduled for Thursday, December 1st.  Please note the Thursday event date to avoid high school sports conflicts.  The theme for 2022 is “The Polar Express.”  Follow our Chamber Facebook page for additional details as they are released.
