August 2022 Newsletter

The Chamber held a General Membership Meeting in August that resulted in some major changes to our business and membership plans.  After discussions of cash flow, membership benefits, renewal processes and workloads, a unanimous vote of the board and attending members resulted in change to a fiscal year ending June 30th for our membership and general business activities.  Chamber budget meetings, plan of work and membership benefits will be up for final vote in May of each year rather than November.

Current Powder River Chamber members will have their membership extended a full six months at no cost under the current packages with a new expiration date of June 30, 2023.  Renewal packages for the upcoming 2023-2024 fiscal year will be printed/mailed in June of next year.  If you’ve delayed in joining or renewing your 2022 membership, this change means you can join now and still receive almost a full year of benefits for the current package!  Check out the membership packet on our website www.PRChamberofComm.com

Based on feedback from our members, we’re also introducing a new element to the membership package by instituting pro-rated dues.  If your business joins after the first half of the membership year (January 1st for current 2022-2023 membership year), dues for each package will be discounted by 50%.  Now you can still support the Chamber and receive 6 months of benefits without paying for the full membership year.

We appreciate your support and hope you will consider joining the Chamber.  Remember, it’s not just for retail and store-front businesses either!  We encourage home-based businesses, ranches, online merchants and small businesses of all types to increase your advertising potential and community involvement through a Chamber membership.

We welcome your feedback on membership benefits and packages – contact us at powderriverchamber@gmail.com or reach out to Membership Committee members, Marni Gaskill and Jessica Malone.
