July 2022 Newsletter

The summer is flying by and the Powder River County Fair is coming up next week! Good luck to all the fair participants and parents.  Supporting our local youth organizations and small businesses makes a difference in this community, so get out there and enjoy the fair!

School starts on August 23rd and we want to help spread the word to parents that the Eastern Montana Community Mental Health Center has received a grant to purchase school supplies for all K-6th graders this year! Estimated date of delivery is one week before school starts.

Our next quarterly Chamber General Membership Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 10th.  Please join us at 5:30pm at the office of Gardner & Billing CPAs.  We strongly encourage our current and prospective members to attend, as we will be looking at some major changes to our membership package.  We value your input and vote on this important part of our program.

Last month, for our July Positive Partnership Social Gathering we teamed up with Range to co-host an appreciation BBQ for our local first responders at Cottonwood Park.  It was a wonderful opportunity to thank our law enforcement, EMS and healthcare workers and volunteers for their hours of dedication. Special thank you to Range for your sponsorship of the food and give-away items!

The goal of the Positive Partnerships campaign is to raise awareness, acknowledge contributions, and foster partnerships and participation in the many volunteer organizations at work in our community.  Contact us at powderriverchamber@gmail.com if your group is interested in partnering with the Chamber on a gathering or in being spotlighted as the subject of a Positive Partnerships article!
