April 2022 Newsletter

Thank you to everyone that participated in Community Clean Up Day this year! We appreciate the school staff, students, volunteers and project leaders that worked together to brighten up our community. With the school season nearing completion, we wish the students, teachers and faculty an enjoyable summer and send congratulations to the graduating class of 2022!

May is National Beef Month and we want to take the opportunity to recognize our local cattle producers.  Thank you for your support of our community and for your role in feeding our nation.  Special thanks to Open 8 Genetics, Gnerer Angus, Montana Premium Beef and Emmons Ranch for supporting our organization through your memberships.

The Local Candidate Forum is coming up next week!  Join us at the high school auditorium at 6:30pm on Wednesday, May 25th. Dave Gardner will moderate discussions with the candidates running for Powder River Co Commissioner, Sheriff and Treasurer.  This event is free and open to the public.  If you can’t make it to the forum, video feed will be broadcast live on our Facebook page during the event and will also be available afterwards on our website.  Look for the Candidate Forum event via our Chamber Facebook page.

If there are specific topics or questions you would like to address with the candidates, we invite you to submit them in advance on the event page or via email to powderriverchamber@gmail.com. Open public questions will also be taken following the prepared program. The event is scheduled to conclude at 9pm. We hope you will take this opportunity to learn more about our local county candidates, but we remind you to please be respectful and courteous of our candidates, organizers and attendees.
