November 2020 Newsletter

Happy Thanksgiving from the Powder River Chamber!

As we approach the holiday season, the Broadus Christmas Stroll is forefront in our plans!  Join us on Friday, December 4th for Stroll activities under the theme “A Very Merry COVID Christmas!”

The Chamber is once again sponsoring a local shopping incentive, so as you’re making qualified purchases at participating retailers between now and December 4th,  get your “Ticket to a Cozy COVID Christmas” punched for a chance to win the grand prize drawing!  Pick up your ticket at Alderman Oil, Broadus Boot & Tack, Jane’s Weathered Antiques, Powder River Petals, Silver Sage, Western Chick or The Daisy Patch. Get your ticket punched at each business, write your name and contact info on the back and drop it in the Christmas Mailbox at Gardner & Billing CPAs by the end of the stroll to be entered into the drawing!

New to the Stroll in 2020, the Chamber is hosting a COVID Christmas Mask Pageant at 7pm outside Powder River Petals.  Get creative and strut your safe self in your fabulous Christmas mask. (Think of it as an ugly sweater contest for your face!)  Pre-register by contacting Melissa Billing or sign up for free on Stroll night.  Join us for music, entertainment and some light-hearted fun, followed by the unveiling of the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Powder River Petals courtyard.

Get in the Christmas spirit and get your decorations up for the Annual Christmas Lighting Contest! Businesses will be judged on December 4th on the night of the stroll and residential judging will take place on December 13th.

This year is unlike any other, so please check with individual business owners for any restrictions or details on what they have planned on their premises.  Follow our Facebook event page and watch for an Examiner article with more Stroll details next week.

**Chamber members, please remember to submit your stroll activities to us by November 30th for inclusion in the Examiner article.**
