January 2022 Newsletter

We invite you to attend our February Chamber General Meeting coming up next Wednesday, February 9th at 5:30pm at the office of Gardner & Billing CPAs.  We’d love your input on upcoming Chamber activities, and we’re looking for ideas for our 2022 positive partnership gatherings and community service projects.

Although exterior temperatures are dropping, the high school sports action is heating up!  Show your school spirit and support your Broadus Hawks.  The full athletic schedule can be found at www.broadus.net.  Best of luck to our student athletes and coaches with upcoming tournaments!

Did you know that next month is Women’s History Month?  The Chamber is proud to support, celebrate and represent the many women entrepreneurs in our community.  The Montana Women’s Business Center has opened a state-wide grant competition for businesses that are at least 51% women-owned.  This grant is for women business owners looking to expand their businesses and can be used for anything that will enhance economic independence for women, create jobs, or take the business to the next level of success. Applicants will be broken up into Rural and Urban groups each with a $3,000 grant and $6,000 grant. The deadline to apply is March 4, 2022 and you can apply here. www.prosperamt.org

If your business or organization is interested in learning about other grant programs, please reach out to us and let us know what your goals are.  We try to stay connected with state, tourism and business agencies in order to be your resource for grant funding and economic enhancement programs.

We’re already over a month into 2022, so we encourage you to consider joining the Powder River Chamber of Commerce now to enjoy a full year of benefits!  Download the membership application on our website (PRChamberofComm.com) or contact a Chamber board member for details.  Chamber benefits include amazing advertising opportunities, including Facebook post sharing, website and Google Maps presence, tourism website profile listings.
