November 2021 Newsletter

We appreciate all the businesses and individuals that participated in the Broadus Christmas Stroll. Thank you for shopping small and supporting our small town businesses this season! There seemed to be a great crowd on stroll night enjoying the warm weather and festive fun. We want to send a special shout out to TRECO and Tracy Thomas for ensuring the community snowflake decorations were up in time. Broadus looked perfectly magical with all the lights and decorations! Congratulations to Gardner & Billing CPAs for winning the Business Christmas Decorating contest with their “Christmas on Gingerbread Lane” theme.  Don’t forget the residential contest will be judged on December 12th! Thank you to those of you that joined in the Ugly Sweater Pageant – Laney Williams, Delaney Ruland, Jessica Malone, Brandi Billing, Justin & Megan Smith, Kayleigh Opstedahl and Novalee Blakeman. Congrats to Delaney Ruland for 1st Place entry and Laney Williams for 2nd Place. Best of luck and thanks to those that supported the Chamber by purchasing NFR teams at the Calcutta and special thanks to Jim Collins, Jeanne & Rich Sparks and Charlee Kuhbacher for putting on the event.

Coming up this week, don’t miss the Gracious Space Holiday Mixer on Wednesday, December 8th at 6pm. Check out the attached flyer and join us at the Community Center for an introduction to an exciting leadership program coming in 2022. The Chamber is excited to partner with MSU Extension to bring the “Big Sky, Big Leadership” series to Broadus, which will start in January and conclude in June. During the recent ReImagining Rural gatherings, community members identified a need to motivate, inspire and educate current and upcoming community leaders, entrepreneurs and volunteers. This program is a cooperative effort that will provide a practical guide for working better together to build a brighter future for Broadus.

Community cooperation and networking are key parts in our Chamber mission.  As we look ahead to the coming year, we encourage you to reach out if you have a big project, event or business concern for 2022. Add us to your newsletter list or email us your events, meetings, sales or social gatherings.  Help us understand your goals and projects and we’ll connect you if opportunities arise for grants, advertising or cooperative group efforts.  Make us a resource when it comes to the economic, social and community pulse of Broadus.

Thank you for your support of our organization and on behalf of the Powder River Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture, we wish you a very Merry Christmas season!
